Young Learners English
All our classes take place on Zoom, which has numerous tools available including a live chat, screen-sharing, quizzes and polls and an online whiteboard. All links are easily accessible on your dashboard and you can ask for your classes to be recorded too.
All resources used in class, including videos, documents and audios are uploaded to your own Google Drive folder, which is easily accessible for you and your teacher. We keep a record of all classes and keep a vocabulary, pronunciation and error correction record so you can easily review what you’ve learnt in class.
You can easily connect with our fellow students at Virtually Fluent. We provide course forums, a private messaging tool and an online student profile to allow all our students to make the most of their online experience.
All our private English students get lifetime access to our individual self-paced courses, which follow the CEFR syllabus. These courses contain video explanations, additional exercises and online quizzes to reinforce your learning.
We take care of all the bookings for you. Once you’ve set your timetable with your teacher, we book everything in on a monthly basis. You can easily cancel or reschedule your classes on your virtual dashboard.
Classes are paid for at the end of each calendar month using our secure online payment system. You can use credit or debit card and use PayPal, enabling payment in any currency. If you wish to pre-pay for a package of lessons instead, please raise this in your introduction session.

You don’t need to prepare anything for your introduction session. It’s a chance for us to see your English level, understand your goals and English and discuss the logistics of timetable and payments. It is your chance to ask us any questions about how we teach, including our methodology and materials.
Before an introduction session, please think about the following;
- Why you want English classes
- Class objectives
- Class content
- Preferred class timetable (start and end date, duration, intensity)
- Preferred feedback methods
- Preferred assessment procedures
That’s completely up to you! You can choose to have a daily, bi-weekly or weekly class. All private students must have a minimum of 4 hours per month, with the exception of the first calendar month, in case you wish to start in the middle of the month.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any classes cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice from the starting time of the class will be cancelled and you will have the chance to reschedule this class. Any classes cancelled within 24 hours of the starting time of the class will be charged at full price with no refunds available and no possibility to reschedule.
No. At the end of each calendar month, you can decide whether to continue another month. We will reserve your scheduled classes 2 months in advance in the hope that you will continue with us. This ensures your teacher will be available for you and this time won’t be taken up by other learners.
At Virtually Fluent, we recognise the British public holidays as bank holidays. If your class falls on a public holiday, the class will be cancelled and you can reschedule it with your teacher. If your class falls on a local public holiday, you must inform your teacher at the beginning of that calendar month to rearrange the class.
You can keep track of your booked classes on your account, where all Zoom links can be found too. We also send email confirmations for each class.
We provide a 15-minute waiting window at the beginning of each class. If you don’t appear in the online class within the first 15 minutes, the class will be automatically cancelled with no refund available.
Each student will have a personal Google Drive folder shared only between yourself and your teacher. Your teacher will summarise each class and upload all materials used in class to your folder so you can easily access all your materials. All private class learners receive full access to our supporting grammar and vocabulary courses too. These can be accessed on our website.
Yes. Zoom is our main communication tool, but we can arrange alternatives if Zoom is not available for you including Skype, Google Hangouts, Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp and Facetime video or audio calls. You can discuss this with us in your introduction session.
