Research Your Country

  • Download, print out and cut up the flashcards.
  • Shuffle the cards well, then place them in a pile facing upwards.
  • Take the top card. E.g. economy. This will be an entire topic.
  • Research this topic for your country, city or town and be sure to find some related statistics.
  • Write down some example sentences with these statistics and then read them out loud to yourself to practise.
  • For example, in the UK for the card economy, I might say the economy is getting better now compared to the economy of the nineteen seventies (1970’s). There are more jobs, but there is a lot of political uncertainty.
  • Repeat this activity until all cards have been used.
