Using Subjects

Watch a short video to summarise the top three mistakes that learners typically make with personal pronouns in English. You’ll learn how to avoid these mistakes yourself.

Self-Study

Take a look at one of our blog posts to spot all the subjects in each sentence. As well as looking out for subjects and deepening your understanding of their use, you can also get some addtional reading practice. The answers are also provided. We also point you towards our favourite online resources so you can complete this task with any text in English.

Although there are only seven personal pronouns in English, you can use our small set of flashcards to help you review them and be 100% sure you use them in the correct situations.

For this self-study activity, you’ll need some dice. Use our codes then roll the dice to practise using personal pronouns in your own sentences.

In this activity, you’ll learn how to paraphrase and be more flexible with your English speaking, focusing on personal pronouns.

Read through a collection of incorrect sentences and rewrite them correctly, explaining your correction in the process. Full answers and explanations are provided.
