In Company English

Business English Logos

Empower your employees to feel confident using English in the workplace with our bespoke in-company classes with a native British English teacher.

At Virtually Fluent, we provide targeted English training to give our students confidence in their English so they can excel in the workplace. We offer bespoke courses and class materials and work closely with employers to ensure we provide a learning environment which gets the best out of a student and prepares them to use English effectively in the workplace.

No matter what level, industry and background, we aim to help students;

All our classes take place online on Zoom with a native British English teacher. We offer both 1:2:1 and group classes, although our recommended maximum group size is 6 students, to allow the teacher to work effectively with each student.

Class activities vary depending on the industry, job position and course objectives. Examples of class activities include presentations, open conversations and debates and role-plays. All materials are shared via our own online drive (group classes) or Google Drive (private classes) in order to live-edit materials.

Zoom

At Virtually Fluent, we ensure that we provide all essential tools for students to progress in their English. All our resources are online and students simply need a strong internet connection and a laptop.

Zoom Logo

All classes take place on Zoom, which enable screen sharing, live chat, an online whiteboard and online polls. Classes can also be recorded and downloaded, if requested.

All students enrolled in a course will have unlimited access to our business English courses. We also have specialised courses on English grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary and can provide access to these courses if requested or appropriate for the course.

Drive

All business English courses have their very own private dashboard, which only enrolled students can access. As well as the Zoom link, course details, homework and relevant links, we provide our own online drive and a course forum.

All students registered in a course will be required to create their own user profile on our website and will have access to all our free materials. This includes reading and listening materials, further reading and links and our very own blog.

In order to ensure students are placed in an appropriate class, we carry out a level test. A writing, reading, listening and grammar quiz can be carried out online and we ask all students to record a voice clip too.

Our mission is to create an online community where English can be used and practised and we encourage our business English students to network with other Virtually Fluent members.

We recommend working within our 10-week semesters. This gives time for our teachers to create a working relationship with students and for students to see and feel their progress in the language. Intensive courses and more flexible courses can be arranged (please discuss in the introduction session). For our fixed-rate courses, we require a 50% payment upfront with the outstanding 50% to be paid once the course has been completed. Payment can be made through our online payment tool, PayPal or a direct bank transfer.

As a fully-registered business at Companies House, UK we are happy to be registered as suppliers for language classes and will provide all documentation as requested. We will also reach out to former English teachers to ensure the takeover is smooth and may ask for previous student reports to provide the best start to our courses.
