A big topic in my country recently, the UK, is the upcoming general election in December. The people of the UK voted in July 2016 to leave the European Union in a referendum and since this time it has been very difficult for our politicians to pass a deal. We had Theresa May as our first Prime Minister after the referendum, but she left in summer 2019. Now we have a new prime minister, but he cannot get a deal through either. Therefore, we will have another general election in the coming weeks. I saw lots of debates on the TV and received lots of leaflets in the post from different political parties and people talk about it everywhere.
